Sportz 16 Design

The Sportz 16 design was a small yacht that I designed a few years back. At the time when I designed it, I was working at Tom Fexas Yacht Designs in the US and had also just started Bowdidge Marine Designs as a side line business. My intention at the time was to bring out sail/ power/ sail / power designs, however when I brought out my first power design, the power side of things just took off with more and more orders for different designs in power. Anyway, after quite a few built here in Australia and Europe, I decided to take the design off our website, enabling me to concentrate more on power at that time.

The builders at the time commented that it was a fast boat and tacked on a dime. It was quick.
